There are always hard lessons to learn in any Presidential campaign when you beome the front-runner and the subject of such hyperbolic adulation by the masses. There's nothing our press corps love more than to find the flaws in the veneer of those who infer they have a superior position from which to evaluate things.
The problem with Michelle Obama's statement isn't so much the unpatriotic tone, but, the implied arrogance and lack of gratitude from someone for whom the American system has worked extraordinarily well.
I happen to like Michelle Obama and believe she's as smart and capable as ANYONE we've ever had in the White House including Billary :-)
